Wan Kah Mun

President

Wan Kah Mun is a clinical psychologist in private practice. She has been privileged to contribute to the chapter’s growth alongside fellow dedicated members since the formation of the chapter.

Since 2017, Kah Mun has pursued extensive training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), encompassing introductory, advanced, and specialized topics, learning from various ACT founders. Her commitment to ongoing professional development is reflected in her continuous supervision and active participation in local and international ACBS professional development events. She holds a strong interest in working with the ageing population and their caregivers and actively contributes to the ACBS Ageing in Context Special Interest Group.

As a Human Resource Development Corporation (HRDC) accredited trainer, Kah Mun delivers practical and engaging workshops tailored for professional and corporate settings. Her meticulous organisation and streamlined approach ensure that workshops, talks, and skills-based training are delivered efficiently and productively, maximizing participant engagement and learning.

Kah Mun’s experience with ACT has fostered a deeper understanding of acceptance and openness to life’s complexities. She brings this understanding to her therapeutic practice, offering clients a safe and supportive space to navigate their challenges. She values the opportunity to journey alongside clients, acknowledging their discomforts and celebrating their steps towards what matters to them.
